Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of the International Funded Trading Commission (“IFTC”) website, registry, information services, complaint mechanisms and related services.
By using this website, users acknowledge the nature and limitations of IFTC's role as described below.
1. About IFTC
The International Funded Trading Commission (“IFTC”) is an independent, private and non-governmental organisation operating within the proprietary trading industry.
IFTC seeks to promote transparency, independent standards, responsible business practices and improved information for traders and proprietary trading firms.
IFTC is not a governmental regulator, financial regulator, supervisory authority or public authority.
IFTC does not exercise statutory regulatory powers and does not issue governmental or regulatory licences.
Any references on this website to IFTC “standards”, “accreditation”, “assessment”, “approval”, “listing”, “membership” or similar terminology relate exclusively to IFTC's private and independent framework.
They must not be interpreted as governmental or regulatory approval.
2. IFTC Registry and Firm Listings
IFTC maintains an independent registry of proprietary trading firms.
A firm's inclusion in the IFTC registry reflects IFTC's assessment, classification or decision based on the information available at the relevant time.
A listing does not constitute:
- A governmental licence
- Regulatory authorisation
- A financial guarantee
- A guarantee of payouts
- A guarantee of solvency
- A guarantee of future conduct
- An investment recommendation
- An endorsement of every product, service or practice of the firm
Traders remain responsible for conducting their own due diligence before using the services of any proprietary trading firm.
3. Paid Assessment and Membership Applications
Certain proprietary trading firms may voluntarily apply for an IFTC assessment, accreditation, listing or membership.
IFTC may charge application, assessment, administrative, listing or membership fees in connection with these services.
Payment of any fee does not guarantee acceptance, accreditation, approval, listing or continued inclusion in the IFTC registry.
Any fee relates to the relevant assessment, administrative or membership process and must not be interpreted as the purchase of a favourable assessment or permanent registry status.
IFTC retains independent discretion when determining whether a firm satisfies its standards.
4. Discretionary Listings
IFTC may also identify and list certain proprietary trading firms without receiving an application from the firm and without requiring the firm to pay a fee.
This may apply, for example, to significant or established market participants whose scale, trading activity, market presence or relevance to the proprietary trading industry makes their inclusion useful to the IFTC registry.
Such firms may be included at IFTC's sole discretion, based on publicly available information, independent research, market information and/or other information considered relevant by IFTC.
The absence of a voluntary application does not prevent IFTC from including a firm in its registry.
IFTC is not required to apply an identical assessment process to every firm where the nature, scale, public information or circumstances of the firm differ.
5. No Permanent Right to Listing
No proprietary trading firm has a permanent or contractual right to remain listed by IFTC.
IFTC may review the status of a listed firm at any time.
Where IFTC identifies material concerns, changes in circumstances, questionable practices, significant trader complaints, misleading information, transparency concerns or other matters inconsistent with its standards, IFTC may, at its discretion:
- Request additional information
- Reassess the firm's status
- Modify its classification
- Add an informational notice
- Suspend accreditation
- Temporarily remove a listing
- Permanently remove a firm from the registry
- Add or reference the firm within an appropriate warning section where justified
These actions may be taken in accordance with IFTC's independent assessment and internal procedures.
6. Complaints and Reports
IFTC provides traders with a mechanism for submitting complaints or reporting concerns involving proprietary trading firms.
Submission of a complaint does not guarantee:
- That IFTC will accept the complaint
- That IFTC will investigate the matter
- That IFTC will resolve the dispute
- That the firm will compensate the trader
- That IFTC will compensate the trader
- That disciplinary or listing action will be taken
IFTC may determine, at its discretion, whether sufficient information exists to review a matter.
IFTC may request supporting evidence and may communicate relevant information to the proprietary trading firm concerned where reasonably necessary to assess the complaint.
IFTC is not a court, arbitration service or governmental dispute-resolution authority.
7. Discretionary Challenge Fee Refund Support
In certain exceptional circumstances involving a genuine and sufficiently documented dispute with an IFTC-listed proprietary trading firm, IFTC may choose to reimburse or contribute towards the reimbursement of a trader's challenge fee.
Any such reimbursement is:
Entirely discretionary.
It does not constitute a contractual entitlement, compensation scheme, insurance policy, guarantee fund or statutory investor-protection mechanism.
A trader has no automatic or contractual right to receive reimbursement from IFTC.
IFTC is under no obligation to reimburse any challenge fee, even where a complaint has been submitted, reviewed or considered legitimate.
Any decision to provide financial support is made voluntarily by IFTC on a case-by-case basis and at its sole discretion.
Past reimbursement of one trader or dispute does not create an obligation, precedent or entitlement regarding any other trader, complaint or future case.
IFTC may decline reimbursement without being required to provide financial compensation.
8. No Compensation Fund
IFTC does not operate a statutory or guaranteed compensation fund.
Any references elsewhere on the website to Challenge Refund Support refer exclusively to the discretionary mechanism described above.
They must not be interpreted as a promise of reimbursement or financial protection.
9. Warning Lists and Scam Alerts
IFTC may publish alerts, warnings or other information concerning proprietary trading firms, websites, impersonation attempts or practices that IFTC considers relevant to traders.
The inclusion of an entity in a warning section should be based on information and research considered sufficiently credible by IFTC at the time of publication.
IFTC may update, amend or remove such information where circumstances change or new evidence becomes available.
Reports submitted by users do not automatically result in a firm being placed on a warning list.
10. No Affiliate Influence
IFTC does not use affiliate commissions generated by trader registrations or challenge purchases as the basis for determining which firms appear in its registry.
Links to official proprietary trading firm websites displayed within the registry are intended primarily to help users identify the firm's official online presence and reduce the risk of clones, impersonation or fraudulent websites.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, such links should not be interpreted as affiliate recommendations.
11. No Financial or Investment Advice
Information published by IFTC is provided for general informational and industry-transparency purposes.
Nothing on the IFTC website constitutes:
- Financial advice
- Investment advice
- Trading advice
- Legal advice
- Tax advice
- A solicitation to trade
- A recommendation to purchase a proprietary trading challenge
- A recommendation to use a particular proprietary trading firm
Users remain solely responsible for their own decisions.
12. Risks Associated With Proprietary Trading
Proprietary trading programmes, evaluations and funded trading models may involve financial costs and significant risks.
Rules, payout requirements, trading restrictions, account conditions and business models may differ materially between firms and may change over time.
Users should carefully review the contractual terms and current rules of a proprietary trading firm before purchasing any service.
An IFTC listing does not eliminate these risks.
13. Accuracy of Information
IFTC seeks to provide accurate and useful information but cannot guarantee that all information displayed on the website will always be complete, current or error-free.
Information concerning third-party firms may originate from:
- Corporate records
- Firm websites
- Publicly available information
- Information supplied by firms
- Trader submissions
- Independent IFTC research
- Other sources considered relevant
Users should independently verify important information before relying upon it.
14. Changes to Accreditation or Registry Status
The status of a proprietary trading firm may change after publication.
IFTC may update accreditation, listing or warning status without prior public notice where appropriate.
The current status displayed in the IFTC registry should therefore be considered the relevant status at the time the registry is consulted.
15. Third-Party Websites
The IFTC website may contain links to third-party websites, including the verified official websites of proprietary trading firms.
IFTC does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, products, services or subsequent changes.
Users access third-party websites at their own discretion.
16. Limitation of IFTC's Role
IFTC's role is to provide an independent private framework for industry transparency, assessment, information and best practices.
IFTC does not assume responsibility for contractual obligations between a trader and a proprietary trading firm.
The existence of an IFTC listing does not transfer a firm's contractual obligations to IFTC.
IFTC is not responsible for a firm's debts, payouts, losses, trading conditions or other contractual obligations solely because that firm appears in the IFTC registry.
17. Changes to These Terms
IFTC may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to its services, framework, policies or website.
The latest version published on the IFTC website will apply from the stated update date.
